Kaliningrad Avtotor plant has launched the production of a new batch of Amberauto A5 electric vehicles. By the end of the year, it is planned to produce about 3.5 thousand such sedans, the press service of the domestic brand reported on June 24.

The Amberauto A5 is equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 160 hp and a traction battery with a capacity of 63 kWh, providing a range of up to 520 km on the CLTC cycle. Sedans from the new production batch will be offered in an updated color scheme, which includes seven shades.

The company also announced that it is planning to open new dealerships of the Amberauto brand in Stavropol, Voronezh and Ufa this year. The brand is currently represented by 15 official dealerships in 10 cities of the country, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Kaliningrad, Krasnodar Krai, Rostov-on-Don and Sevastopol.

By the end of 2025, 1,126 Amberauto vehicles were sold in the Russian Federation. According to the analytical agency Autostat, at the end of last year, the Amberauto A5 became the bestseller in the segment of electric vehicles in Russia, ahead of the Evolute, Avatr, Zeekr and others models. At the end of last year, it was also reported that in 2026, Amberauto plans to introduce two new models in Russia — the A7 crossover and the A3 hatchback.

As reported, on April 30, sales of Amberauto A5 electric sedans in Russia practically stopped. In March 2026, only one sedan was registered in the country, four such cars were registered in January, and nine in February.
