Residents of Transbaikalia gave 3 million rubles to fraudsters

Over the past day, nine residents of the Trans-Baikal Territory have suffered as a result of fraud. The total damage amounted to about 3 million rubles.

According to the ChitaMedia news agency, scammers lured 1.2 million rubles from a 53-year-old resident of Chita under the pretext of buying a car. The transaction took place on an unknown Internet resource.

The scammers used various deception schemes with the rest of the victims, including posing as employees of banks, law enforcement agencies, mobile operators and courier services. Residents of the Olovyanninsky, Borzinsky, Kalgan districts and Chita suffered.

Over the weekend, 11 people were injured as a result of fraud in the Tula region. The total damage exceeded 1.7 million rubles.
