The CSTO announced joint exercises of the three countries on the latest types of weapons

Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan will hold joint exercises within the framework of the CSTO, including on the use of the latest types of weapons. This was stated on June 24 by Anatoly Yakovlev, deputy head of the CSTO Center for Planning the use and Training of troops, at the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum.

"In September-October of this year, a number of joint exercises are planned in Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. The main focus of the exercises will be on improving the training and use of troops, as well as the latest types of weapons," Interfax quoted him as saying.

Yakovlev added that the events will be held within the framework of the military cooperation plan until 2030. During these exercises, Russia will share with Minsk and Astana the experience of a special military operation for the covert deployment of control systems in the field. The countries also plan to work out the rapid transfer of troops with weapons and equipment over long distances.

Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov said on June 3 that Moscow and Minsk are actively developing military cooperation against the background of NATO's continuous hostile activities near the border of the two states. Belousov also recalled the recent successful joint exercises led by the Presidents of the two countries.

On May 20, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus announced that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation had worked out bringing nuclear weapons to the highest level of combat readiness during joint exercises of the nuclear forces with the republic. In addition, during the training, one of the Belarusian missile units occupied the designated area, and the personnel of the republic's army worked to protect it.
