- The State Duma of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Justice of Indonesia have signed a cooperation agreement
The Russian Prosecutor General's Office and the Indonesian Ministry of Justice have signed a cooperation agreement. The document was signed by Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Alexander Gutsan and Minister of Justice of the Republic of Indonesia Supratman Andi Agtas during the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum on June 24.
"Our experts will share national experience in legislative regulation and law enforcement practice," Gutan said.
The Prosecutor General stressed that the states are linked by a long-standing friendship, which strengthens cooperation on international platforms, as well as humanitarian, trade and economic ties. He recalled that in June 2025, the leaders of the countries adopted a Declaration on Strategic Partnership, which became a new stage in the development of relations between Moscow and Jakarta.
"Today we see great potential for the development of legal communication between our agencies, including in order to solve common problems of ensuring the rule of law," said the Russian Prosecutor General.
According to the head of the supervisory authority, the scientific and educational sphere, in particular personnel training, will become an important vector of partnership. Gutsan suggested considering the current meeting as a start for further effective cooperation in all key areas.
Bahlil Lahadalia, the head of the Indonesian Ministry of Energy, said on May 2 that Russian oil supplies to the republic would begin in the near future. According to the minister, the supplies will become part of the plan to purchase 150 million barrels of oil from Russia by the end of 2026.
