Ferrari replaced Enrico Gallera, director of marketing and commerce, a few weeks after the debut of the Luce, the Italian brand's first electric car. Massimiliano Di Silvestre, head of BMW's Italian division, has been appointed to his position, and he will take office on July 1. This was reported on June 23 by the Electrek portal.
Enrico Galliera has worked at Ferrari for over 16 years. The company explained his departure as a personal decision to "start a new chapter." It is noted that Di Silvestre has extensive experience in the field of luxury cars.
"Ferrari has not confirmed Gallier's departure due to the Luce model. However, it is difficult to ignore the moment chosen for the change of the head. The head of the marketing department leaves just a few weeks after the launch of the most discussed product in the modern history of the company, to which the market reacted extremely sharply," the note says.
The Ferrari Luce became the most discussed car on the Web at the end of May and received a barrage of criticism from fans of the brand, which was even joined by former Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport of Italy Matteo Salvini.
