- The President congratulated the staff of Rossiya Segodnya on the 85th anniversary of the Soviet Information Bureau
On June 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory telegram to the staff and veterans of the Rossiya Segodnya agency in honor of the 85th anniversary of the Soviet Information Bureau.
"Dear friends! I congratulate you on a big, significant date — the 85th anniversary of the international news agency Rossiya Segodnya," the message of greetings reads, the text of which is quoted by RIA Novosti.
The Head of State stressed that the agency's employees are rightfully proud of the rich history and many generations of famous journalists. According to him, his predecessors performed their professional duties with honor in the most difficult conditions and set the highest standard of excellence.
Putin also said that Rossiya Segodnya worthily continues the traditions of its predecessors and retains its position as a leader in the media market. He noted that the agency provides the audience with relevant news, uses advanced technologies and strategies, and pays attention to the professional growth of young professionals.
Yesterday, at the presentation of the Order of Zhukov to the Presidential Regiment, Putin thanked its soldiers for their determination and loyalty to the oath. He noted the important role of the unit. He stressed that it was entrusted to him to protect the heart of Russia — the Moscow Kremlin and many other important state facilities.
