The State Duma talked about raising pensions for two categories of citizens

In July 2026, an increase in pensions is expected for citizens who have turned 80 or who have received disability group I. This was announced on June 24 by Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs.

She noted that for these categories of citizens, the fixed payment to the insurance pension will be doubled, and a care allowance will also be automatically assigned.

"There will be a targeted increase in pensions in July, this is not a massive increase. Citizens who become disabled in group I or reach the age of 80 are entitled to additional support from the state," the deputy explained in an interview with Lenta.ru .
