The expert spoke about professions with the right to early retirement

If they have a fixed length of service, military personnel, law enforcement officers and cosmonauts are eligible for early retirement. This was announced on June 24 by Petr Petkilev, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Procedure and Private International Law at the RUDN Law Institute.

"Long-service pensions are a separate category. Cosmonauts are eligible for them with a total length of service of 25 years for men and 20 years for women (with mandatory experience in the flight test squad). Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and other law enforcement agencies can retire after 20 years of service," Petkilev told RIA Novosti.

He clarified that for these categories of citizens, the key condition for retirement is a special length of service, not age. He noted that certain periods of service are counted on preferential terms due to the increasing coefficients for work in extreme conditions.

The expert gave an example that for astronauts, one month of service in full—time positions is counted for two, and a month of space flight is counted for five months of experience.

He also said that a similar approach is being applied to teachers. According to him, they are eligible for early retirement insurance if they have at least 25 years of teaching experience in organizations for children, while the payment is deferred for five years after the length of service.

Petkilev clarified that teachers receive an old-age insurance pension, and the basis for all these cases is the availability of the necessary special experience.

At the same time, there is no provision for co—financing from the budget - as employers will be involved in transferring payments for employees.

Tatiana Podolskaya, an expert at the Presidential Academy, announced on June 20 that working pensioners will be able to receive a monthly pension increase of up to 470.28 rubles after recalculation in August. According to the expert, the recalculation in August differs from the annual indexation and is carried out taking into account the insurance premiums that the employer transferred for the previous year.
