The rescuer listed the necessary items in the backpack during the hike
Oleg Leonov, a State Duma deputy and coordinator of the Lisa Alert search and rescue team, told what should be in a backpack when hiking in the forest.
In an interview with Radio 1 on Tuesday, June 23, the specialist noted that most independent attempts to get out of the forest end in failure. According to the expert, you should definitely take a fully charged phone and a power bank with you. At the same time, it is better to store the phone in an inner pocket so that it retains its charge longer.
Leonov also recommended carrying a compass, matches or a lighter, a whistle, a supply of water, a calorie snack and a raincoat. He explained that the campfire helps to keep warm and serves as a guide for rescuers, and the whistle allows you to give signals much longer than with your voice.
In addition, the expert advised choosing bright clothes. According to him, people in camouflage are difficult to spot in the forest, so you can use a reflective vest for safety.
Earlier, on June 18, Alexey Dudarev, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Russian Union of Rescuers and the Brotherhood of Rescuers, said 360.ru how to survive in the forest. It is important to always have a bottle of water with you, even if a person is going to the forest for a short time. It is better to wear bright clothes, treat them from ticks and have a spray bottle with a repellent. You also need to grab matches or a lighter so that, if necessary, you can start a fire and keep warm, writes RT. In addition, it is mandatory to bring a fully charged phone, a power bank, and a compass if you have the skills to use it. Dudarev advised to pre-register with the rescuers, tell them the approximate route of the hike and the time of leaving the forest.
Earlier Pravda.Ru she wrote that it is important to know the route of a hike in the forest in advance. Even in popular places, forest trails can be of varying difficulty. If a person has no idea how long the route will take, they may not be able to return before dark, and navigating the night forest is extremely difficult and dangerous.
In June, Mosoblpozhspas specialists called for informing relatives about the time of return and route before going into the forest, taking a charged phone with them, and immediately calling 112 in case of an emergency, the Moscow City News agency reports.
In May, Grigory Sergeev, chairman of the LizaAlert search and rescue team, said that one of the most dangerous myths is the need to wait a day or three before reporting a missing person. LizaAlert and the police urge you to seek help as soon as it becomes clear that the person has disappeared, without wasting a minute on doubts or fear of disturbing the services.
