The Conscience Award has started accepting applications for the new season

On June 23, the organizers of the Albert Likhanov Conscience Humanitarian Award presented the tasks of the third competition cycle. Applications for participation in the award for contribution to the protection of childhood will be accepted until August 15.

The Conscience Award was established by the Russian Children's Fund in cooperation with the Albert Likhanov Foundation for the Preservation of the Creative Heritage. Dmitry Likhanov, Chairman of the Russian Children's Fund, President of the International Association of Children's Funds, member of the Writers' Union of Russia, chairman of the jury, said that the project is designed for at least two years.

"Next year, the Russian Children's Fund celebrates its 40th anniversary. And we will hold it, it is already known, I can already declare it, we will hold it in the pillared hall of the House of the Union. And thus the two events are compatible. We will combine the 40th anniversary of the foundation and the awarding of the Conscience Award in 1927," said Likhanov.

According to him, the large-scale project is a kind of guideline for society in the current conditions. In addition, Likhanov called the international humanitarian Award the moral tuning fork of Russia's current state.

"And it is very good that kind hearts of people with kind deeds respond to the sounds of this tuning fork, which may change the lives of five, ten or even one person," the chairman of the jury emphasized.

Alexey Borodin, the artistic director of the RAMT, reminded the participants of the meeting about the history of the development of the Russian Children's Fund. He emphasized the role of Likhanov, whose efforts created the organization.

"Albert Anatolyevich, he led all this, while remaining the person after whom this award is named. His main quality was conscience <...> This conscientiousness, which, it seems to me, characterizes us all very much, and our people, and so on. And conscience, love, is generally a word that has always sounded very special here for centuries," Borodin added.

Last October, the award ceremony for the winners of the SHUM Youth Media and Journalism Award was held at the Rossiya National Center in Moscow. The prize is awarded to young authors and teams of creators of significant content about Russia. In 2025, participants competed in 12 nominations, presenting projects about their native land, family values and a vision for the future.
