At the 38th LDPR Congress in the Moscow region on June 23, the party's election program for the upcoming elections to the State Duma was approved. The party program adopted by the delegates was called "100 Days of Russia's Transformation."

"In these 100 days, we will be able to launch real movements that will move the country towards development. Yes, they will probably argue with us. We are a constructive opposition party, but we will defend [our decisions] for the sake of people who believe in the Liberal Democratic Party more and more every month and every day, believe in our plans and proposals," said LDPR leader Leonid Slutsky during his speech.

According to him, the party will defend solutions that will give the country progress towards development, people protection, and the authorities genuine responsibility to their citizens.

The elections of State Duma deputies and other campaigns are scheduled for September 20, 2026. The voting will last for three days— from September 18 to September 20.

The LDPR is the oldest Russian party, which was originally formed as a centrist and right-wing populist association. The first meeting of the initiative group for the organization of the structure was held on December 13, 1989 in Moscow. The group consisted of nine people, including the founder of the party, Vladimir Zhirinovsky.

The supreme governing body of the organization is the congress. According to the charter, it is convened by decision of the Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party or the Supreme Council at least once every four years.

On June 19, the Liberal Democratic Party proposed to expand the list of military injuries and their consequences, which are taken into account when determining disability for participants in a special military operation. Thus, the party proposes to make comprehensive changes to the regulatory legal acts regulating the procedure for establishing disability for military personnel and participants in their military operations. In particular, it is necessary to expand the list of military injuries, their consequences and diseases that develop due to injuries or are acquired during service.
