The court rejected the claim of Gradsky's daughter to recognize his widow as an unworthy heir.

The Naro-Fominsk City Court of the Moscow Region rejected the claim of Maria, the daughter of the late singer Alexander Gradsky, to recognize his widow Marina Kotashenko as an unworthy heir. The artist's son Daniil told Izvestia about this on June 23.

He said that as part of his sister's lawsuit, the issue of 100 million rubles was being considered, which were included in the inheritance. Daniil clarified that the decision would be appealed. He participated in the case as a third party.

The struggle for the master's legacy has been going on for several years. The conflict involves the eldest children Daniel and Maria, the third wife of the artist Olga Fartysheva, as well as the widow Marina Kotashenko with two sons. Kotashenko faced an armed attack during the litigation.

As the source of Izvestia clarified, three men faked an accident, after which they threatened the woman to give 100 million rubles. The criminals were arrested, but the stolen money could not be found. These funds actually disappeared from the general hereditary mass, which became another point of tension between relatives. Daniel Gradsky claims that it was his father's widow who took the money. The artist's relatives intend to go to the Supreme Court.

Heirs will be able to find out about the debts of the deceased even before accepting the inheritance.

On July 24, 2024, the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow held a hearing on the claim of Marina Gradskaya, the widow of People's Artist of the Russian Federation Alexander Gradsky, against his children Maria and Daniil about the division of property. Marina Gradskaya got one car, and Maria and Daniel will share three cars.

In October 2023, the court dismissed a civil claim for inheritance rights to composer Alexander Gradsky's third wife Olga Gradskaya. She was married to the musician from 1980 to 2001.

In 2022, she filed a lawsuit against her own children, Daniel and Maria, as well as against her ex—husband's widow Marina, with whom he got engaged a month before his death. In particular, Gradskaya (Fartysheva) demanded to recognize the inheritance right and divide the property acquired during the years of marriage with the musician.
