Rakova spoke about the development of a network of women's health centers in Moscow

By 2030, Moscow plans to complete the creation of a network of outpatient care centers for women, said Anastasia Rakova, Vice Mayor of the capital. She took part in the opening of the 17th new Women's Health Center in the capital.

"As part of the development of the obstetric and gynecological service of the city, we are improving outpatient care for Muscovites, and Women's Health Centers are replacing outdated women's consultations. Today we are opening our 17th center, and five more are under construction. And we hope that by 2030 we will completely update this entire network," Rakova said.

Women's health centers are multidisciplinary comprehensive clinics where women receive medical care not only during pregnancy, but throughout their lives. Special attention in the work of the centers is paid to the prevention and detection of oncological diseases. According to the deputy mayor, the number of detected cases of cervical cancer at zero stages has doubled, breast cancer has increased fivefold.

In addition, due to the modern equipment, "one-day surgery" is widely used in clinics. Many gynecological interventions that previously required hospitalization are now performed on an outpatient basis. 38,000 Muscovites have already undergone such operations since last year.

Over the past two years, the number of women who have joined the outpatient service and are systematically monitored has increased twofold. This will help to detect diseases at an early stage and prevent them, said Rakova.
