CNN has learned about mass dismissals in the US National Intelligence apparatus

Bill Pulti, the acting director of National Intelligence, has begun a large-scale reduction in the staff of his department. This was reported on June 22 by CNN, citing an informed source.

"The dismissals of [representatives of] the deep state have begun," said the source of the TV channel.

He noted that he was referring to shadow groups, which, according to the widespread point of view in the United States, have a serious impact on political and economic processes in the structures of the American federal government.

According to CNN, when US President Donald Trump appointed Pulti interim head of National Intelligence, he expected him to cut hundreds of employees. As noted, last week Pulti arrived at his new place of work a day earlier than scheduled and demanded to provide him with a complete list of staff.

The source of the TV company clarified that the main cuts will affect the National Counterterrorism Center and the National Center for Counterintelligence and Security. There have been no official comments from the leadership of the intelligence agency yet.
