Trump announced the launch of Patriot and Tomahawk production at automakers

American automobile concerns will soon begin production of military products. This was stated on June 22 by US President Donald Trump during a conversation with reporters at the White House.

"They have plans to redesign the plants. We are going to produce weapons, including [Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems], [cruise missiles] Tomahawk, as well as many other things," he noted.

The head of the White House explained that the country's authorities have initiated a large-scale economic program to increase defense production. Automakers with unloaded capacities are already concluding agreements for the manufacture of rocket products.

"They are dealing with General Motors, they are dealing with Ford, but I know that General Motors is very interested in manufacturing weapons," Trump concluded.
