Following the talks between Washington and Tehran in Switzerland, Iran's unfrozen financial assets can be used to purchase food exclusively through the United States. This was announced on June 22 by US President Donald Trump during a conversation with reporters at the White House.
"The money that is being thawed will be used to buy food, and food will be purchased exclusively through the United States from our farmers," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
