Savelovsky tunnel in the northeast of Moscow to be repaired
Specialists of the municipal management complex have begun the ongoing repair of the Savelovsky transport tunnel in the northeast of Moscow. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of the capital for Housing and Communal Services and landscaping Peter Biryukov on Monday, June 22.
According to him, the tunnel, which runs under the Savelovskaya overpass and connects Butyrsky Val and Sushchevsky Val streets, will be renovated as part of a regular repair program for engineering structures.
Biryukov noted that traffic will not be completely blocked. The work will be carried out in stages with partial lane restrictions and the preservation of traffic in both directions, the Moscow City News Agency reports.
During the renovation, a new "Pediment" type wall cladding will be installed in the tunnel. First, the specialists will mount the metal frame, and then fix the panels on it. The total area of work will be about 5 thousand square meters. m.
The deputy mayor recalled that over the past 14 years, all Moscow bridge facilities have undergone various types of repairs, which made it possible to extend their service life and increase comfort for drivers and pedestrians, writes Moscow 24.
