In Buryatia, a woman was detained on suspicion of setting fire to her neighbor's wooden fence. The crime was committed after a domestic conflict between women, the press service of the Republican Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on Monday, June 22.
The incident occurred in the Ivolginsky district, writes IA UlanMedia. A 60-year-old local resident filed a police report. She said that an unknown person had set fire to the door in her fence.
During the operational search activities, suspicion fell on a 51-year-old neighbor. According to law enforcement, she decided to set the fire out of a sense of revenge.
The detainee fully admitted her guilt. During the search, an empty canister, matches and a charred piece of cardboard were seized from her. A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Damage to other people's property in the presence of aggravating circumstances."
The department noted that the person involved had not previously been brought to criminal responsibility. She is currently on her own recognizance. The damage has not been repaired yet.
