Almost 44 thousand hectares were sown by farmers in the Pskov region

The spring sowing campaign is coming to an end in the Pskov region. Farmers have sown almost 44 thousand hectares, which is 99% of the plan.

The spring sowing was carried out in optimal time, and now the farms are taking care of the crops. Grain and leguminous crops are located on an area of 10.3 thousand hectares. Spring rapeseed was sown on an area of 15.6 thousand hectares, which is 173% of the plan. This is reported by the Pskov news feed. The large area under cultivation is explained by the high demand for oilseeds.

Potatoes occupied 2 thousand hectares, open—ground vegetables - about 850 hectares. Industrial crops occupied an area of 959 hectares, which is five times higher than the plan.

At the moment, 4.2 hundredweight of fodder units have been harvested per conditional head of cattle. This is 19% of the plan for the sowing season.
