40 squares, parks and streets to be landscaped in Ulan-Ude
Ulan-Ude plans to green 40 squares, parks and streets in 2026. In total, 12 thousand seedlings of plants and shrubs will be planted, of which 5 thousand were grown in the city nursery, the press service of the mayor's office reported on Monday, June 22.
The work will be carried out in three stages: in spring, summer and autumn. The first two have already been completed — more than 2 thousand plants have been planted in the territory of the republican capital.
For example, hedges made of dogwood and apple trees were restored on Baltakhinov, Tereshkova Streets, and 50th Anniversary of October Avenue. Beautiful mixborders were made near the Philharmonic Hall, and plants were also planted in the squares of public utilities, Border guards and other places.
Special attention is paid to large trees. 78 out of 100 planned pine trees were planted in the new park of the 105th microdistrict using a transplant unit. Boarding of the second line will begin this week.
The transplanter also restored the downed birches at the Med shopping center and planted large pines in the Stroitelam BAM squares and on Klyuchevskaya Street. Further plantings will take place in the park named after D.Zhanaev.
More than 500 seedlings will be planted manually, writes IA UlanMedia. Gorzelenstroy is developing its own base: over 30 thousand plants are grown in the nursery. This year, a new irrigation system was launched and cuttings were started.
As noted in the organization, the current weather is favorable for landscaping: trees take root well and increase their green mass. Last year, there was a large number of ermine moths due to the intense heat. Now, thanks to the processing and the absence of extreme temperatures, a massive pest invasion has been avoided.
Earlier it was reported that landscaping of courtyards continues in Ulan-Ude. Seven yards are planned to be put in order for 2026, and all work is on schedule.
