On Saturday, June 27, the main Russian alumni celebration "Scarlet Sails" will be held in St. Petersburg. Modern pop stars and youth groups will perform on the Palace Square, and the evening will end with the ceremonial passage of the Brig Rossiya and a large-scale water and pyrotechnic show.

The best way to enjoy the concert on Dvortsovaya and the water-pyrotechnic show is to broadcast on Channel Five. In 2026, it will begin at 22:00 Moscow time. Almost 60 cameras will be shooting to capture the best angles of the holiday. You can also watch "Scarlet Sails" live on the website and on the social networks of Channel Five.

The main theme of the concert on Dvortsovaya Street will be dreams that accompany a person throughout his life. Artists popular with different generations will take the stage: Yelka, Tatiana Kurtukova, Julianna Karaulova, Lucy Chebotina, Alyona Sviridova, the TRITIA group, Filatov & Karas, Julia Peresild and the MANDRAGORA group and others. The hosts of the evening will be Vyacheslav Makarov, Julianna Karaulova, Nika Zdorik, Sergey Gorodnichy and Daria Alexandrova.

At 00:40 Moscow time, the celebration will be transferred to the Neva River. The culmination of the event will be the passage of the brig Rossiya with scarlet sails. The vessel will start from the Senate Square, pass under the Palace Bridge, make a U-turn at the Winter Groove and continue moving towards the Troitsky Bridge, and then return along the Palace Embankment.

The Scarlet Sails were held in the Northern Capital annually from 1968 to 1979, but then the vibrant tradition was interrupted. The holiday was revived in 2005 on the initiative of ROSSIYA Joint Stock Bank, the Government of St. Petersburg and Channel Five. Since then, Scarlet Sails has become one of the largest cultural events not only in Russia, but all over the world.

Earlier, Izvestia told about the history of the "Scarlet Sails" holiday.
