Russian President Vladimir Putin keeps a portrait of his father Vladimir Spiridonovich and remembers him, including on the Day of Remembrance and Mourning. This was announced on June 22 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"It is well known that the president has a portrait of his father, and not only in the recreation room. Naturally, just as any person remembers his father, the president also remembers his father," he said at a briefing.
