From September 1, an MRI scan will be available without a doctor's referral.

Starting from September 1 of this year, it will be possible to undergo magnetic resonance therapy in Russia without a referral from the attending physician. This was confirmed on June 22 by a document from the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, which was reviewed by TASS.

"It is permissible to conduct magnetic resonance imaging without the appointment of an attending physician (paramedic, midwife)," the relevant document says.
