The IDF announced the elimination of one of the Hamas commanders.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the country's Internal Security Service (ISA) conducted operations during which the commander of the Nuhba special forces within the Palestinian Hamas movement, who was involved in the attack on one of the Israeli settlements during the attack on October 7, 2023, was eliminated. "Over the weekend <...> the IDF and ISA attacked the southern part of the Gaza Strip and eliminated <...>..> Zaki Youssef Mahmoud Abu Mustafa, commander of Nuhba," the IDF said in a posting on its Telegram channel.

According to the IDF, Abu Mustafa had previously entered Kibbutz Nir Oz and allegedly participated in attacks on military personnel, as well as used one of the hospitals to carry out "terrorist activities." It is clarified that he also tried to restore the military potential of the Islamic Jihad organization (a terrorist organization banned in Russia), violating the ceasefire agreement.
