One person was killed in an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the Kerch ferry.
Militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) carried out a massive attack on the Kerch Peninsula of the Republic of Crimea, where people were killed and civilian infrastructure was damaged as a result of the incident. For more information, see the Izvestia article.
How the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the Kerch Peninsula
The attack by drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Kerch Peninsula was announced on the morning of June 21 by the Governor of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov. The targets of the Ukrainian militants were the Panagia ferry and a number of civilian infrastructure facilities. As a result of the incident, at least 28 people were injured and received medical assistance.
According to the operational headquarters, four civilians were killed in the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacks, one of whom was on board the Panagia at the time of the incident. The ship was located in the Temryuk region.

After the incident, the free sale of fuel in Crimea was temporarily suspended and a temporary power outage schedule was introduced. In addition, the press service of the operational headquarters in the Krasnodar Territory clarified the termination of ferry services through the Kerch ferry from June 21.
After a while, Oleg Kryuchkov, adviser to the head of Crimea, appealed to the residents of the republic with a request not to use air conditioners for the time being against the background of an overload of the power grid and the elimination of the accident. At the moment, the power supply has already been restored in most areas of Sevastopol.
Russia's reaction: The RF IC has opened a criminal case
The Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case into the tragedy in accordance with Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act").
The department's staff is currently investigating all the details of the crime, as well as working to identify those involved in the incident.
