King Charles III of Great Britain plans to release information about the taxes he pays as monarch. This was reported on June 21 by the Reuters news agency, citing a statement from a representative of the royal family.

It is expected that information on taxes will be presented to the public on June 25. According to the newspaper, in this way Buckingham Palace strives for greater accountability and transparency.

By law, Charles III is not required to pay income tax, capital gains tax or inheritance tax. However, the British king voluntarily agreed to pay taxes.

Charles III, at the time of delivering his throne speech before the opening of the British parliament session on May 13, declared his loyalty to NATO and increased spending on the defense of his state. The increased investments, as explained by Charles III, will partly be spent on updating the process of providing public services in the country.
