Iran called the duration of negotiations with the United States in Switzerland
The talks between the representatives of the United States and Iran in Switzerland will last one day. This was announced on June 21 by the official representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Bagai.
"We will have a one-day meeting. In the morning, bilateral meetings will be held with the Pakistani and Qatari delegations as mediators in this process," IRNA quoted Bagai as saying in a Telegram channel.
The diplomat said that a quadrilateral meeting between the United States and Iran is scheduled in the afternoon with the participation of representatives of Pakistan and Qatar. Technical consultations of the parties and intermediaries will begin in Burgenstock, Switzerland, and are expected to be held in a closed format.
On the same day, CNN reported that US Vice President Jay D. Vance arrived in Switzerland to hold talks with the Iranian delegation. The meeting is expected to be held in a closed format.
A day earlier, Vance confirmed that US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff and businessman Jared Kushner had already arrived in Switzerland.
