The Iranian authorities resumed the shipment of oil from Kharq Island after the lifting of the blockade by the United States, Bloomberg reported on June 20.

"Iran has resumed oil shipments from its export terminal on Kharq Island after a break of about six weeks," the article says.

According to vessel tracking data compiled by Bloomberg, three crude oil tankers, each capable of carrying about 2 million barrels, are moored at the terminal west of Kharq. This is a sign that Iran is resuming loading and exporting oil, which is facilitated by the deal with the United States.

The agency acknowledges that Iran has benefited from the easing of tensions with the United States following the signing of an interim peace agreement.

On June 17, the United States and Iran signed a memorandum on the cessation of hostilities. US President Donald Trump then stressed that the United States would resume bombing Iran if no final agreement was reached within 60 days, as indicated in the memorandum.
