The glorification of Nazi collaborators was found in a Lithuanian school textbook

In a Lithuanian school history textbook, formulations have been found in which saboteurs and collaborators who collaborated with Nazi Germany are presented as heroes. This was reported on June 20 by RIA Novosti with reference to the analysis of the textbook for 10th grades.

"Lithuania's Ambassador to Germany, Kazis Shkirpa, has established a Front of Lithuanian activists, and this organization has begun to prepare an uprising. When the war began, the uprising began," the text of the manual says.

It is noted that the authors of the publication describe the events of 1941 as an alleged "uprising against the occupation of the USSR" by local residents who collaborated with Nazi structures. At the same time, it is specified that the participants of these formations are called "activists" and "rebels" in the textbook.

In addition, the material describes the actions of armed groups from among the local residents of the Baltic States, including attacks on the Red Army, the seizure of prisons, the release of prisoners and pogroms of the Jewish population.
