An earthquake of magnitude 5.7 was recorded in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Kamchatka. On June 20, the Kamchatka branch of the Federal Research Center of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences reported this.

According to the publication in the Telegram channel, the seismic event occurred at a distance of 171 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The earthquake was centered at a depth of 34.4 km.

On June 20, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kamchatka Territory reported that 25 aftershocks had been recorded in the region over the past day. Their magnitudes ranged from 3.6 to 6.9.
