Norway announced the opening of a consulate general in Greenland

On June 19, the press service of the Norwegian Prime Minister's office announced plans to open a consulate general in Greenland.

"Greenland is a close partner of Norway, and the Consulate General in Nuuk will strengthen both political contacts and cooperation on common interests in the region," Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stere said in a statement on the website.

It is noted that the consulate will be headed by the Consul General sent from Norway.
