Six people were arrested in St. Petersburg in the case of an extremist community.

The Oktyabrsky District Court of St. Petersburg has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to six defendants in a criminal case related to the organization and participation in an extremist community, some of the defendants are minors. This was reported on June 19 in the joint press service of the courts of the city in Maks.

There are three minors among the accused. The publication notes that Andrian Ivanov, Alexey Trofimov, Sergey Borisov, as well as three teenagers, whose details were not disclosed, were taken into custody.

The investigation believes that no later than April last year, Ivanov created an extremist community, which was joined by the rest of the defendants and other unidentified persons.

It is noted that the members of the group, according to the investigation, voluntarily agreed to participate in joint criminal activities. They are charged with acts of violence in public places against victims selected on the basis of gender, race, nationality, language and social affiliation. The term of detention is set until August 9.

On this day in St. Petersburg, law enforcement agencies detained seven people on suspicion of creating an extremist community. According to the investigation, the circumstances of three episodes of illegal activity related to attacks on citizens and their beatings in the period from April to October 2025 have been established.
