The calculation of the M-46 howitzer destroyed the AFU stronghold in the Dobropolsky direction

Servicemen of the 152-mm towed M-46 howitzer of the 385th artillery brigade of the Center group of forces destroyed a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Dobropolsky direction, supporting the actions of the assault units. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on June 20.

As a result of the reconnaissance, a fortified AFU stronghold with dugouts and trenches was identified. After receiving the coordinates, the gunners launched a pinpoint strike, destroying the enemy's positions.

"The command arrives. We begin to disguise ourselves, lower the barrel, mask the gun. Fragmentation (shells. — Ed.) we mostly use high-explosive weapons in the rain, as shells can detonate in the air," said gunner Mikhail Pachin.

It is noted that the actions of the calculation were carried out in cooperation with intelligence and spotters, which ensured high accuracy of damage. The destruction of the stronghold allowed the assault units to advance with minimal losses and occupy advantageous positions.

On June 18, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the calculation of the Grad multiple launch rocket system of the 268th self-propelled artillery regiment of the 27th Guards Motorized Rifle Division of the Center group of forces destroyed the strongholds and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Dobropolsky area of the special operation. At the end of the firing, the gunners immediately left their position in order to eliminate the possibility of a retaliatory strike. The destruction of all Ukrainian targets was recorded on objective surveillance footage.
