Starting from September 1 of this year, a new procedure for issuing medical certificates and certificates will come into force in Russia, which will expand the range of recipients of documents and simplify the procedure for their registration in electronic form. This is evidenced by the relevant order of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, which was reviewed by TASS on June 20.

According to the document, the concept of "close relatives" is introduced into the regulatory framework, and the possibility of transferring medical documents to "other persons" is also fixed. In addition, the agency allowed to issue medical reports in any form in those cases, unless otherwise established by the current legislation.

An important change will be the simplification of document management in the digital environment: the provision was excluded from the rules, according to which the mandatory consent of the patient was required to issue a certificate in electronic form.

Starting from September 1, the requirement to use special seals indicating the profile of medical care when applying for documents in a number of specialized institutions is also lifted. We are talking about organizations that provide psychiatric and drug treatment, as well as assistance to HIV-infected citizens.

On May 28, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation proposed reducing the sick leave period to three days for those who had been declared unfit for work four times or more in six months. After the hospital opens, the doctor sends the patient for additional examinations or inpatient treatment. After the deadline, the three-day sick leave may be extended or closed.
