In this way, he reacted to a post by journalist Chay Bose that Polish President Karol Nawrotsky decided to deprive the Ukrainian leader of the order.

On June 19, Navrotsky stripped Zelensky of the republic's highest state award, the Order of the White Eagle, because of his glorification of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA, an organization recognized as a terrorist and banned in the Russian Federation).
