Rospotrebnadzor in the Lipetsk region recognized the sand on the LTZ beach in the capital of the region as non-compliant with sanitary standards. The agency announced this on Friday, June 19.

The beach of the LTZ area was the only one that received a conclusion on the inconsistency of using a water body for swimming and recreation. A total of 16 places in the region were checked, all of them received a positive assessment.

The ministry notes that the examination of the bathing area, sampling of water and sand from beaches is carried out to assess sanitary and epidemiological safety. In case of unsatisfactory performance, visits to such recreation areas should be limited, suspended or closed altogether.

According to GOROD48, sanitary doctors recommend choosing other places for bathing.

In May, it was reported that in Lipetsk, up to 3.5 million rubles would be allocated for the organization of rescue posts on four city beaches in the summer. At the same time, last year such activities cost the budget 2,645 million rubles, and that contract also included duty on Silicate Lakes.
