A teenager on an electric scooter knocked down a four-year-old girl in Moscow

The girl was injured in an accident in the capital's Levoberezhny district. The press service of the Moscow Prosecutor's Office announced this on Friday, June 19.

"On Pravoberezhnaya Street, a 16-year-old boy, driving an electric torpedo, hit a child. A four—year-old girl was taken to a medical facility," the Moscow City News agency quoted the message as saying.

The Prosecutor's Office of the Northern Administrative District (CAO) is monitoring the establishment of the circumstances of the accident.

The death rate in road accidents is planned to be reduced by one and a half times by 2030.

In Russia, during the first decade of summer (from June 1 to June 10) of this year, 259 accidents involving child passengers occurred, in which 17 children and 292 teenagers were killed and 292 injured. On June 8, the State Traffic Inspectorate reported that the first summer weekends were marked by an increase in accidents involving minors.
