The Russian Foreign Ministry has cancelled recommendations to Russians to avoid trips to the Persian Gulf countries.

Russia has lifted the recommendation for its citizens to refrain from traveling to the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf amid the stabilization of the situation in the Middle East region. This was announced on June 19 in an official statement on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"The Russian Foreign Ministry sees no need to preserve the previously voiced recommendations to Russian citizens to refrain from visiting for private purposes, including tourist trips, the member countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Persian Gulf (Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Saudi Arabia)," the press service of the department said.

It is noted that the reason for the decision was the signed memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran on ending the military conflict and stabilizing the situation in the Middle East region.

They added that Moscow expects the parties to faithfully implement the agreements reached, which will create conditions for a long-term normalization of the military-political situation and help further develop tourism, cultural and humanitarian ties with their Arabian partners.
