Anastasia Cardiakos, a family psychologist, told us how to understand that anxiety is out of control.

In an interview with Radio 1 on Friday, June 19, the specialist explained that anxiety before change is related to the peculiarities of the psyche: even positive changes are often perceived by the brain as a threat to the usual way of life. According to her, ambivalence of feelings in such situations is the norm and does not indicate the presence of psychological problems.

It is worth seeking help if anxiety and internal tension persist for more than three weeks, interfere with living in the present or lead to constant doubts and the inability to make decisions.

The expert noted that perfectionism can also be an alarming signal, in which one's own achievements cease to bring joy due to thoughts that the result could have been better. This can negatively affect self-esteem.

Cardiakos recommended comparing yourself less with the ideal image in your own head, allowing yourself small joys and not being afraid to experience positive emotions. She stressed that it is important to go through a period of inner doubt and remember your right to joy.

On this day, psychologist Anatoly Abashin stated that representatives of generation Z are more likely to engage in self-diagnosis due to high levels of anxiety, feelings of uncertainty and the availability of information on the Internet.
