- Sobyanin reported on the progress of work on the new pedestrian bicycle bridge over the Moskva River
Construction of an all-terrain bicycle bridge across the Moskva River, which will connect the Mnevnikovskaya floodplain and the Filevsky Park district, continues in Moscow. The mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, spoke about the progress of the work in the Maks messenger.
According to him, the builders have completed an important stage of work — they have erected a temporary technical bridge. This structure will allow cranes to install the superstructure blocks on temporary supports.
During the construction of the facility, the method of large-scale assembly is used, in which individual metal structures are assembled into span blocks directly on the site.
Two permanent pillars are also being constructed on the left bank of the Moskva River. Two more pillars are planned to be placed on the opposite side, next to Fili Park.
In addition, another pedestrian bridge is being built in the western part of the Mnevnikovskaya floodplain.
It is planned to complete the construction of the facilities in 2027.
As Sobyanin noted, the new bridges will become "bright accents" of the urban cluster developing in the floodplain and will provide residents of the three districts with convenient access to social and transport facilities.
Last year, the mayor said that a modern area was being created in the Mnevnikovskaya floodplain for a comfortable life and work. Social facilities, business and sports clusters are being built here next to residential buildings.
