Russians were warned about the danger of detailed answers when talking to scammers

When talking to scammers on the phone, it is dangerous to use not only expressions like "I agree" or "yes, I confirm", but also to give detailed answers with which scammers can make a "voice cast" of the user. This was announced on June 19 by Sergey Kuzmenko, head of the Roskachestvo Digital Expertise Center.

The expert called the most reliable way to avoid risks — not to answer calls from unknown numbers.

Kuzmenko noted that most often callers from the alleged call center are asked to answer a few questions, and then confirm their consent to continue the conversation.: "Do you agree?" The usual answer "yes" to the scammers is already enough to fit any text to the received "voice signature".

"The best strategy is not to engage in dialogue with unknown callers at all. Do not say either "yes", "no", or "hello", which can also be cut out and used as a voice sample," RT quotes the expert.
