During the investigation of the drone attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on a bus with children near Bryansk, the Russian side handed over all the established data to the Belarusian side. This was announced on June 19 by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
"Within the framework of interstate cooperation, the investigators of the Investigative Committee of Russia organized a visit by Belarusian colleagues to the site of the passenger bus attack, as well as to the storage site of the damaged vehicle, and provided an opportunity for its visual inspection," the agency's channel says in the Maks messenger.
The investigators of the two countries held a working meeting on the spot, discussing operational issues that are important for the investigation of criminal cases and the collection of evidence on the crime of Ukrainian armed formations.
Representatives of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus studied the materials of the criminal case being investigated by the GSU of the Investigative Committee of Russia, as well as fragments of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack drone seized from the scene.
"As part of the execution of the order on legal assistance, copies of the necessary procedural documents have been handed over to the Belarusian colleagues," the RF IC said.
Earlier, on June 18, an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS States to the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth was announced, during which the permanent representatives will discuss the actions of the Ukrainian side against the civilian population of the republic.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked a bus carrying a children's football team from Gomel to Gelendzhik on June 17. The victim of the tragedy was one person, a woman who turned out to be the wife of one of the coaches. According to the latest information, eight people were injured.
The Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case on a terrorist act following the strike. Information about the incident was brought to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, which demanded an explanation from Kiev. In addition, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered urgent assistance to all those affected.
