The large crossover GAC S9 went on sale in Russia

Sales of the new large hybrid crossover GAC S9 have started in Russia. The model is offered in one package at a price starting from 6.9 million rubles, excluding promotions and discounts. Yang Xiaolin, Deputy General Director of the brand's Russian division, said that the Russian market was the first external market for the new model. This is stated in the company's message, which was received by Izvestia on June 19.

The length of the GAS S9 is 5060 mm, the wheelbase is 2930 mm. The crossover has a sequential hybrid system (REEVS), where the car is powered by two electric motors, one on each axle. A 1.5 liter gasoline turbo engine is used as a generator for the battery. The maximum power is 340 hp, acceleration to "hundreds" takes 7.2 s. The transport tax on such hybrids is calculated based on the maximum 30-minute power of electric motors, for the S9 model it is 147 hp.

Combined fuel consumption with a low battery is 7.4 liters per 100 km. The power reserve on electric power is up to 208 km. The car uses an NMC (nickel-cobalt-manganese) traction battery manufactured by CATL with a capacity of 44.5 kWh. The fast charging time from 30 to 80% is 15 minutes. The S9 is capable of driving 1,019 km without stopping to refuel or recharge.

The crossover is equipped with an adaptive suspension, which allows you to change the stiffness of the shock absorbers depending on the driving mode, and a set of ADAS driver assistance systems, which, among other things, includes adaptive cruise control, a lane keeping system and a parking attendant. The clearance is 188 mm. The trunk volume is 960-1950 liters.

The S9 has a media system with a 15.6-inch screen with VK and Yandex services and support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital dashboard with the ability to display a navigation map, as well as a 27-inch projection display and an audio system with 21 speakers. The decoration uses nappa leather and wooden inserts. The front passenger seat is equipped with a "zero gravity" function and an electric ottoman. The seats of the first and second rows are equipped with massage, heating and ventilation functions, the rear ones are equipped with an electric backrest angle adjustment.

Multi-color interior lighting is used, wireless charging is provided for two devices with a cooling function, and a folding table is available for the rear right passenger. For acoustic comfort, soundproof glazing of the windshield and side windows of the doors of the first and second rows is used. There are telematics, a set of driver assistance systems, nine airbags, as well as a parking attendant that can independently perform both parallel and perpendicular parking. Other features of the S9 are the optional two-tone body paint and wheels with a floating logo.
