Sechin announced a 20% increase in production targets at Sakhalin-1.%

The Sakhalin-1 project exceeded the production targets approved by the previous operator by 20%. This was announced by the head of Rosneft, Igor Sechin, while delivering a report at the company's annual shareholders' meeting in Bolshoy Kamen, Primorsky Krai.

He recalled that in 2022, after the departure of American ExxonMobil and foreign contractors, Rosneft was forced to take over project management in conditions close to emergency.

"We restored oil production and exports as soon as possible, and resumed gas supplies to the Khabarovsk Territory. More than 3,000 highly skilled jobs have been saved," Sechin said.

According to him, the company has resumed its drilling program, and in 2023, it drilled the world's second-most complex well at the Odoptu-More field.

In 2025, a new facility was commissioned on the continental shelf, the Southern Dome of the Odoptu field, which produced record well starting rates of up to 2.6 thousand tons per day.

"In 2026, we started active drilling simultaneously at all three fields of the project. As a result, it exceeded the planned production targets, which were approved by the previous operator, by 20%," said the head of Rosneft.
