In Moscow on June 18 at the MosHab.Skolkovo summed up the results of the "First Neurocontent Cup" of the presidential platform "Russia — the land of opportunities". The event was attended by 20 teams from different regions of Russia, who created short videos about the technological future of the country in a few hours using artificial intelligence (AI). A total of 1300 people applied.

The participants worked on four cases — from Moscow 2040 and medicine of the future to engineering school, unmanned systems and digital urban services. Two teams had the opportunity to sign a contract for 500 thousand rubles with the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Development of Artificial Intelligence Technologies" for the creation of socially significant content.

"Today there is a struggle for images of the future. For someone who will become a hero for the younger generation. For what technologies will be proud of. For the kind of stories that will sound. The participants of the First Neurocontent Cup proved that there are authors in Russia who know how to work with AI for real - for the sake of meaning," said Andrey Betin, CEO of the Russia — Land of Opportunities presidential platform, rector of the Senezh Management Workshop.

According to him, the participants create strong visual solutions, talk about the future in a modern language — and they do it honestly, and "Russia is a land of opportunities" creates opportunities and a space for such guys where their talent will not go unnoticed.

Within the framework of the project, the participants worked with several directions. The teams envisioned Moscow in 2040 as a technological metropolis where AI, unmanned vehicles, digital services, and metaverses have become a natural part of human life. Separate projects were dedicated to the Russia of the Future as a country of engineers and creators, where unmanned technologies, engineering schools and proprietary technological solutions become the basis for sustainability and technological independence.

Participants also created stories about the medicine of the future — a world where AI, bioengineering, genetic technologies and digital medical systems help people live longer and better, as well as videos about the capital as a place of care, where the Muscovite map becomes a symbol of a person's connection with the city and accompanies residents throughout their lives.

"The hackathon was attended by the strongest creators and two winning teams from previous competitions. I am also glad that the competition is becoming a family one. One of the teams came with the whole family: dad, mom and a one-year-old child. While mom was creating content, dad was busy with the child," said Gennady Guryanov, director of the Autonomous Non—Profit Organization "Development of Artificial Intelligence Technologies".

The work of the participants was evaluated by an expert jury, which included representatives of the Presidential Administration of Russia, the United Russia Party, the Institute for the Development of the Internet, technological, creative and innovative industries.

The team "Rabbits" became the superfinalist of the media hackathon, which worked on the case "Code of Life: Medicine of the future" and created a video about a world where AI, bioengineering, genetic technologies and digital medical systems help people live longer and better. The contract from the "Development of Artificial Intelligence Technologies" for the creation of socially significant content was awarded to the "Rabbits" and the "Neuro-Industrialists" team, who also worked on this case.

In the case "Moscow 2040: technologies that work for people", the ASNOVA team became the winner, Avangard took the second place, and Studio Zero took the third. In the case "Technological Future: the country of engineers and creators", the Yenisei and Angara team won, nada_prod took the second place, and EP took the third. In the case "Code of Life: Medicine of the future", the winner was "Rabbits", the second place was taken by "Neuro—industrialists", and the third place was taken by "SWIFT". In the Moscow — City of Care case, the Big Media team won, Artefact took the second place, and Neurocool took the third.

The First Neurocontent Cup is one of the three key tracks of the Digital Breakthrough project of the presidential platform Russia — the Land of Opportunities. In 2026, IT hackathons and the "Anti-Fake Championship" also started. All tracks are aimed at identifying talents in the field of information technology, artificial intelligence and media, as well as at forming a community of professionals who can contribute to the development of the Russian digital economy.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on June 5 during the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026) that Russia has good prospects in the development of AI. The Head of State noted that the West has historically been viewed as a source of technological development, but now the situation with technological leadership in the world is changing. The Russian leader stressed that Russia holds high positions in the development of digital platforms in various spheres of life.

Prior to that, on May 28, the president announced that academic science was ready to meet the challenges of implementing AI. He noted that the field of artificial intelligence is a promising area of integration cooperation and an important factor in ensuring global competitiveness and economic growth.
