Ushakov noted the interest of the ASEAN countries in Russia's assessment of Ukraine

Representatives of the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries have expressed interest in responding to Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal to clarify Moscow's position on the situation in Ukraine. This was announced on June 18 by assistant to the Russian leader Yuri Ushakov on the sidelines of the Russia—ASEAN summit.

"He (Putin. — Ed.) I just suggested, if colleagues are interested, to listen to our assessments of the situation on the battlefield, in general, the situation around the Ukrainian conflict. <...> Colleagues showed interest," Ushakov said in a comment to Channel One.

The presidential aide added that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, during a meeting with Putin, confirmed the country's readiness to host a new round of negotiations on the Ukrainian settlement.

Among other things, Washington's key partner in Asia flew to Vladimir Putin for talks.

Earlier in the day, Ushakov noted that European countries are guided by the misconception that the situation on the battlefield is changing in favor of the Ukrainian forces.

Later, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov reported on Putin's conversation with the participants of the ASEAN summit in Kazan on the situation around the conflict in Ukraine. He called the conversation detailed, and clarified that the Russian president briefed the audience in detail on how the situation was developing, and gave Russia an assessment of the actions of the Kiev regime.
