The number of Russians receiving pensions through VTB has exceeded 5 million people. Of these, more than 600 thousand have received payments through the bank since the beginning of the year, the VTB press service said.

"This year, residents of Moscow and the Moscow Region, St. Petersburg, the Krasnodar Territory and the Sverdlovsk Region were most actively involved in VTB's services," the report says.

In the first five months of 2026, the bank credited more than 500 billion rubles of pension payments to pensioners - the volume increased by 70% compared to the same period last year.

"VTB serves several million pensioners every day, and this is a big social responsibility for us. The older generation has access to surcharges on savings products, direct cashback in rubles, including in pharmacies, free fraud protection and other targeted products," said Dmitry Breitenbikher, a member of the VTB Board.

Savings accounts and deposits remain the most popular products among retirees. According to VTB, every second customer in this category uses such tools.
