World Athletics officially recognized the result of Russian Knoroz on the "Day of jumps"

A week and a half later, the World Athletics Federation recognized the result of Russian pole vaulter Polina Knoroz, shown at the Jumping Day 2026 tournament in Moscow. This was announced on June 18 by the press service of the All-Russian Athletics Federation (VFLA).

Thus, the height of 4.87 m, which the athlete took, was officially included in the list of the best results of the current season.

"Today it became known that the result shown has been confirmed by World Athletics. Now the achievement of Russian track and field athlete Polina Knoroz has been officially ratified," Sport—Express quotes the comment.

In the rating of the season, Knoroz ranks second. The leader is American Amanda Moll, who scored 4.88 m. Knoroz is 26 years old, she is a master of sports of international class (2017). At the 2025 Russian Championships in Kazan, the athlete won with a score of 4.86 m.

On June 4, VFLA President Petr Fradkov noted that Russian track and field athletes continue to show high results, despite the current international restrictions. Athletes Daniil Lysenko, who competes in the high jump, and Polina Knoroz, who specializes in pole vaulting, were among the leaders of the world ranking, the head noted.
