Lipetsk prosecutor's office will control the case of injuring a child with a firecracker

The Prosecutor's Office of the Lipetsk region took special control of the verification measures on the fact of injury to the child. The incident occurred on June 16 in the Usmansky district.

According to preliminary data, the girl suffered severe arm injuries due to careless handling of a firecracker she found on the street.

The regional Ministry of Health said that a 13-year-old girl was walking on the street near the house and found a firecracker in the grass. She brought it into the apartment, put it in a glass mug and lit the wick. At the same time, she held the mug in her hand. At that moment, a pop occurred.

The prosecutors must establish the circumstances of the incident. The supervisory authority will pay special attention to how timely and fully the bodies of the neglect prevention system worked and what were the actions of the officials responsible for the safety of children in the municipality.
