Geely Monjaro has become the most popular Chinese used car in Russia for the first time

In the spring of 2026, demand for used Chinese cars in Russia increased by 38.7% year-on-year, and the Geely Monjaro crossover became the most popular model in the segment for the first time. The average cost of a Chinese used car in the country was 2 million rubles. Avito Auto experts told Izvestia about this on June 18.

Voyah and Changan showed the largest increase in demand among the brands: their figure almost doubled over the year. The top five also included Haval (+57.1%), Exeed (+56.7%) and Omoda (+56.4%). Among specific models, the Haval F7 (+79.1%), Geely Atlas (+67.5%), HAVAL Jolion (+65%), Chery Tiggo 4 (+63.2%) and Tank 300 (+61.3%) showed the greatest growth in demand.

For the first time, the Geely Monjaro with an average price of 3.4 million rubles became the leader in popularity among Chinese used cars. The top 10 models also include Haval Jolion, Chery Tiggo (T11), Geely Coolray, Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max, Lifan X60, Haval F7, Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, Changan Uni-Z and Omoda C5.

During the spring season, the average price of some models decreased significantly. Among the leaders in price dynamics are Geely Emgrand EC7 (-9.7%; up to 380 thousand rubles), Lifan X60 (-9.5%; up to 522 thousand rubles), Chery Tiggo (T11) (-9.3%; up to 366 thousand rubles), Lifan Solano (-8.8%; up to 306 thousand rubles) and Chery Arrizo 8 (-8.4%; up to 2 million rubles).

In terms of federal districts, the largest increase in demand for used Chinese cars was recorded in the North Caucasus Federal District: the figure for the year increased by 53.8%, experts also calculated. There is also a noticeable positive trend in the Central Federal District (+39.8%), in the Northwestern Federal District (+34.9%), in the Ural Federal District (+33.8%) and the Southern Federal District (+32.8%).

Earlier, on June 17, it became known that in just the first four months of this year, Russians purchased 105.5 thousand used Chinese passenger cars. Their sales increased by 45% over the year, while the entire market increased by only 5%. The share of Chinese-made cars in the "secondary market" has increased from last year's 4.1% to the current 5.7%.
